Personal relationships vary so much from person to person, but when it all gets boiled down, it is simply a loving relationship that far exceeds any earthly relationship. Sometimes it is hard to fathom how much Christ loves us, despite our faults and our mistakes, but that is the beauty of a realtionship with Him. Christ is willing to look past all of that as long as we are committed to obeying Him and honoring Him.
With that said, one way I stay connected is through Bible verses. It is amazing how I can read a verse multiple times and each time I take away something different. I know a lot of that is determined by what is going on my life at the moment and what applies to that circumstance. So today, I wanted to share a few verses that have stuck out to me lately:
"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 (My life verse)
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promisted to those who love him. James 1:12
Sometimes, life is difficult and it is easy to forget just how much God loves and cares for us. Today, I encourage you to rest in the fact that His love is everlasting and will never leave us!
