Non-New Year Post

In the past I have written posts recapping the previous year and detailing resolutions and goals for the new year.  I do pretty good keeping up for the first few months and then real life takes over and I forget all about the goals I made or the things I resolved to do.  Sometimes I feel guilty for not following through and sometimes I don't.

So this year I'm not going to put pressure on myself to come up with a list of goals.  I'm also not going to recap the past year because if you read this blog then you are pretty aware of our year.  Yes, there are things that happened that I didn't chronicle on here, but for the most part our lives are contained in the blog. 

The only thing I'm going to say about 2011 is that it taught us a lot about patience, trust, control, and persistence.  We learned a lot about each other, we learned a lot about life, we learned that our plans are not always the best plans or the plans the Lord has for us, and we learned that despite everything we are extremely lucky and blessed people.

We have high hopes for what 2012 might bring us and we are welcoming it with open arms!
