Work: Still the same. I am busier, but also praying for a change!! We'll see what happens!
Labor Day: We had a lot of fun at the lake! Koby was not excited about his life jacket. At all! He did, however, learn to love the water. He even dunked his cousin Maddie chasing a ball. I guess that is a Brungardt for you. Maddie had a rough weekend. She got locked in a closet, got in a fight (with Koby) over the ball and ultimately got dunked in the water. Let's hope our kids don't act like this! We were exhausted after the weekend. I always forget how much energy it takes to be on the boat all day!
Small Group: After a rough split (it needed to be done, but maybe just not the way it happened), Brandon and I are now leaders of our own small group. We will have 3 other couples from the previous group and hope to get new couples to join. Our old group was getting too big (22 to be exact) and it was just time for a change. We also really feel like God was telling us to get off our hineys and take a leardership role. Be in prayer that God will work through Brandon and I. Neither of us have ever really led a group before, so we're just hoping that God will speak to us and show us his grace as we start out. However, we are very excited to begin this new group. We already have some great ideas!
Painting: We'll be painting our house next weekend. We still haven't decided on any colors. We're thinking we want to do a tone-on-tone green scheme, but I can't pick a green. It is either too blue or too yellow! Anyone have any great suggestions?? This will be the first time I've ever painted a house, but Brandon's parents are going to come to town to help us, so it will be nice to have experienced assistance! Brandon will be spending this weekend sandblasting the ugly painted brick and caulking (sp?) all of the windows. Wish us luck! I'll post pictures of before and after!
That seems to be all that we have going on. We'll be heading to the K-State game this weekend! Hopefully, they'll have a better ending than they did last weekend...
