Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Psalm 105:1
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
Ephesians 5:20
And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I thought these verses seemed appropriate for a day when many of us are reflecting on what we are thankful for. We are all blessed in so many ways and these verses are a good reminder of who should be receiving the credit for our blessings.
As for me, I'm thankful for:
- God's peace that fills my heart. While this has been a year of a lot of "unknowns," God has provided me with peace every step of the way.
- His grace because it has covered me more than once this year.
- A patient husband and a husband who makes me laugh when I take things too seriously.
- Family and friends who provide steadfast love.
- Good health, especially on the days when getting up for work is the last thing I want to do -- afterall I get to get up and go to work.
- Koby, the best dog ever and the one that brightens our lives every day.
- Salted Caramel Mochas - they just make the mornings that much sweeter!
- The people who fill the candy bowl on my desk :)
- A new big bath tub!
- The changing of seasons that allow for renewed spirits.
