Coming Up Empty Handed

So, how can anyone go shopping for a whole day and not find a single thing to buy? Apparently, I can!! Mom and I went shopping yesterday and our soul mission was to buy stuff for me for my birthday. Now, you'd think this would be a blast, but it actually ended up quite frustrating! I could not find anything I liked. It seems the clothes right now are in between seasons, they've been picked over and the new fall stuff isn't quite out yet and they styles aren't exactly flattering to my body. I have never had a shopping day like this before! Ugghhh! Why is it that whenever we have time to look for stuff, we can never find it, yet when we're not looking or don't have money, we find gold mines? I don't get it!
