Don't Worry...

....Day 2 of our trip will be coming soon. The photos take SOOOO long to upload, that I seriously have to block out time to do it. The last post took over 1 hour!! You might be saying, "Tessa, you have plenty of time at work to do this", well, yes, I do, but the photos won't upload at all from my work computer. So, there!!

I'm getting into the holiday spirit! I'm anxiously awaiting Thanksgiving and time off work, cooking and being with family. I'm also trying to convince Brandon that we should have a Christmas party because we've never done anything like that before. And, I need to start planning NOW because everyone's December weekends fill up fast! Maybe I'm also getting filled with the spirit because I've already been asked for Christmas lists - you over-achieving family members of mine!!! Ha ha! I'm just kidding. I, too, am going to try to get my shopping done early, so I can really enjoy Christmas!

Speaking of Christmas lists, what is your take on them? Sometimes, I feel really selfish coming up with lists of things that I need, want, desire, etc. Sometimes, I really think the best gifts are those that you don't ask for or expect. Yes, I know as a giver, you want to make sure the recipient is going to like the gift, but really, most of the time, you know the recipient well enough to know what they would like. I get so caught up in trying to find exactly what is on someone's list, that it almost becomes more of a chore, than a fun, exciting experience. Am I crazy? I don't know. But, for those of you receiving gifts from me this year, you just might be surprised!!!

So I love giving and used to really love shopping for gifts for people. Now though, it seems like the people I buy for - they don't need anything and everything they want, they just buy themselves, so then I never know what to buy people. That frustrates me because I want to buy something they'll like! :)
