Making Progress

Lately, we've been trying to get Koby to sleep in his own bed, rather than with us. Initially, he was definitely opposed to it. We would put him in his bed and he'd jump right back in with us. I usually gave in. Then, one night, while Brandon was gone, Koby peed in the bed, with me in it, at 4:00 in the morning!!! Not cool. I definitely didn't feel bad kicking him out that night. Well, since then, we've really been trying every night to make him sleep in his bed. The first few nights, we'd give him his bone, he'd chew on it while we fell asleep and around midnight, his little paws would end up on my side of the bed and I would be awaken by little bitty wimpers. I would politely tell him to go back to his bed and he would. But, 3:00 would roll around, and there he was again, wimpering. We went through this for a couple of nights. But, the last few nights, he's been in his bed before we're even ready to go to bed and, he's stayed there all night long. Now, when the alarm goes off, I do let him in while I hit the snooze button and then he snuggles with Brandon after I get up. But, it's progress, right?!?!
